On Tuesday, 1-19-10, the members of the Town of Poughkeepsie Democratic Committee unanimously re-elected Gary Levine as chair, Rich Levine as vice-chair, James Seifts as treasurer and David Dengel as secretary.

 

 

As I begin my first full term as chair I will continue to fight for the traditional Democratic principles of fiscal responsibility; honesty, transparency and ethics in government; fairness and good governance. In its very first meeting the 2010 Republican Town Council members violated these principles. (see  Republicans Bust 2010 Budget) They must be held accountable.

 

I encourage our committee members and all residents to become citizen journalists, to inform and communicate issues impacting our town which are under reported or not reported at all. To this end we will be developing this site as a news resource. Anyone wishing to join us is welcome.
